Jarel holds a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Point Loma Nazarene University. He has had instruction from mentors Ralph Miyashiro RPT (SDSU) and Brian Janey (Allegro Piano Service) and attended various workshops and clinics on piano technology, including the Renner Academy under the instruction of recognized authorities in the industry–Rick Baldassin, Nick Gravagne, Carl Teel, and Michael Spreeman of Ravenscroft Pianos.
Jarel Paguio, a San Diego native, works as piano technician in all parts of the city, and is a member of the San Diego Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild, holding the office of Treasurer.
